Bombay is a city of dreams and provides opportunities for small town youngsters. It is also a harsh city for those who do not have instincts to strive and survive. However, we need to find out if eighteen-year-old Adi will survive or fail like many people.

Summary of the Book

Adi is a small town boy who has been lucky enough to get the chance to study medicine in Bombay. However, he lacks confidence in his abilities and this is the start of his journey as a failure. He gets caught up in the dazzle of Bombay, and his college experiences are nothing like he imagined. He is ragged by his seniors in the beginning, but this does not seem to bother him. From here, we see that Adi had finally found his voice. He also manages to makes a few friends in the city. He is suddenly a natural leader and is not deterred by anything or anyone. During this time, he even finds love. Soon, Adi has to make some very important decisions in his personal life and education. Will he continue keeping his head high through everything?
