Magic Tree House: Valley Of The Dinosaurs (Book - 1) is the first book in the Magic Tree House series, wherein Morgan Le Fey sends two children on numerous adventures. Magic Tree House: Valley Of The Dinosaurs (Book - 1), as the name suggests, tells a story of magic, wonder and adventure. The protagonists are Jack, who is eight years old and his little sister, seven year old Annie. The siblings stumble upon an enchanted tree in the woods as they explore and play during their summer vacations. Unbeknownst to them, the tree house is magical along with its precious books.

Upon discovering their treasure, the children explore their find. Jack finds a book on dinosaurs called the Time of the Dinosaurs, and immediately wishes aloud if he could see them in reality. The children are magically transported to prehistoric times and encounter Pteranodons, Triceratops and even the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. Jack and Annie now have to navigate this mysterious world by making friends with friendly dinosaurs and staying away from the dangerous ones and somehow find a way back home.

Magic Tree House: Valley Of The Dinosaurs (Book - 1) offers just the right balance of information and fun. Each type of dinosaur is carefully chosen for its representation of the various species. Pteranodon is a winged dinosaur falling into the reptile category. Triceratops is a formidable looking creature and is a vegetarian. About Mary Pope Osborne

Mary Pope Osborne is a renowned American author specializing in children’s books. Her works are hugely popular. A few of her other books include Magic Tree House: Secret of the Pyramid, Magic Tree House: Night of the Ninjas, Magic Tree House: Diving with Dolphins and many more.

She was born in 1949 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Her most popular work is the Magic Tree House series having sold over 100 million copies worldwide. It has been translated into over 30 languages. Before embarking on the Magic Tree House series, Osborne had written several books targeted at the youth. She served as the president of the Authors Guild. The University of North Carolina presented her with an honorary Doctorate of Letters in 2013.
