Summary of the Book

With a father who found it difficult to express his emotions and a mother who preferred solitude, Maria looked for other ways to keep herself occupied and happy.

At the age of eighteen when she moves to New York from Bangladesh for her higher studies, she meets Yameen who woos her in different ways and is what he doesn’t display to be. Beloved Strangers is the story of a woman who grows up and grows away. Maria Chaudhari is a Bangladeshi author. She has obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts and an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, Vermont. She has authored the book Beloved Strangers.
