The Horse and His Boy is a fantasy novel and the third novel in The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis.

Summary of the Book

When Shasta, a young boy, meets a talking horse named Bree, he has no idea how his life will be influenced by this creature from Narnia. They escape together from the boy’s foster father and join up with other escapees to journey to Bree’s home: the wonderful land of Narnia. However, their path is full of peril, and they will have to face the diabolical Calormen, a tribe settled in Tasbaan. The Calormen hate nothing more than Narnians and they will do anything to stop this motley crew from reaching their destination.

Clive Staples “C. S.” Lewis was an English novelist, lay theologian and literary critic. He is best remembered for The Chronicles of Narnia series of novels.

Lewis was a close and personal friend of fellow writer J. R. R. Tolkien.

Several books in this series were adapted into films distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.

Narnians, this is the third book in The Chronicles of Narnia. This series continues in Prince Caspian.
